ARTIST BIO
Farreen Naaz is a Singapore-based Fine Arts student and is currently pursuing her diploma at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Her passion has always been in arts since she was young, thus, she enrolled in Naval Base Secondary School which is recognised as one of the secondary arts schools in Singapore. She then furthered her studies in Nitec Visual Communications in ITE College Central.
In the year 2017, She entered the Deloitte completion in the group category and managed to emerged first. Besides that, She was awarded Eagles award and Merit Edusave Bursary Award in both the years 2017 and 2018.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Most of my artworks are incorporated based on personal experiences, for instance, domestic abuse and family, as well as political issues. Such as raising topics like, Feminism, Racism, Culture appropriation so as to create awareness in order for it to be addressed.
